A little journal prompt fun.

So I posted an entry on my Disney blog and penned an actual journal entry this morning. I figured I should write here as well. Right now I am working on Jeremy's V-Day gift; it’s all very hush hush. Because of that, I think I will find a journaling prompt and blog on that :).

The lucky prompt: What hobbies do you have?

Well isn’t that the perfect question for me. I have more hobbies than actual responsibilities. In no particular order:

Scrapbooking - I started in 2003 and haven’t ever really looked back. It is by far my favorite way to pass the time.
Quilting - Nothing is more satisfying for me than to complete a quilt or blanket for my family and friends. One of the best ways to show you love someone.
Paper Crafting - from handmade cards to ATC's i love working with paper.

Sewing - I make costumes, housewares and accessories. I am working on learning how to sew my own clothes.

Jewelry Making - I don’t wear much jewelry, but i love assembling and designing it.
Video Games - Current obsession: Dragon Age: Origins.
PC Games - The Sims (3) has been a part of my life since 2001. Every time there is a new expansion, I can barely contain my happiness. Very often you will find me glued to my computer screen.
T.V. - I watch A LOT of T.V. It’s really borderline addiction. My favorite shows right now are Psych and How I Met Your Mother.
Blogging - Kind of a new hobby, maybe not even technically a hobby yet.
Facebook games - more like an addiction, I just can’t stop :)

And that doesn’t even include all of the things I want to make hobbies, like camping and hiking.

A blog for wasted time.

I am a classic procrastinator, I put everything off until I have no other choice but to finish (or in some cases start it). At this moment I am surfing the lolDogs instead of starting Jeremy's V-Day gift or finishing the calendar. Both worthy projects that are lying by the wayside of my time wasting capabilities. To top it off, I have spent the last couple of days on lamebook.com while cleaning my room, but at least I was still getting something done right?

So I figured I should blog, or at least attempt to blog, something meaningful. The problem is, I can't think of a single thing worth saying. I am an incredibly talkative person who has lots of opinions, and apparently not one of them is springing to mind.

I guess the real question is, am I procrastinating or simply giving my brain a rest? Of course I know that I am procrastinating, but at least its not the end of the world. I have no deadlines to speak of at the moment and everything on my plate is totally optional.

I need to find a way to get motivated, something that will make a difference to someone, but right now all I wanna do is look at adorable dogs with funny grammatically criminal captions.

A new blog home.

Previously my private blog was on LiveJournal, but I decided today that it would be easier to have both blogs in one place, easy to manage and maintain.

If you are wondering about the web address, it stems from a conversation (the first of many) where I misspoke and it ended up being hilarious. I was actually trying to say there are no trees in Germantown (categorically incorrect as well, i know) because we were talking about how to decorate the foyer.

I spent a LONG time trying to figure out a suitable link thing, settling on *artofavoidingpain* and proceeded to ask the boys. Brandon suggested *notreesinpumpkintown* and I knew THAT had to be it :).

So welcome to my personal blog, it will be filled with my opinions, things I make and randomness.
